Computer freezes while reading the CD-ROM due to bad data cable.
Cause:
The external CD-ROM drive's data cable is damaged.
Solution:
Turn off the external CD-ROM drive, and replace the data cable. Turn on the External CD-ROM drive, and restart Windows 95.
1) Turn off the external CD-ROM drive.
2) Replace the data cable.
3) Turn on the external CD-ROM drive.
4) Restart Windows 95.
